Project Case Study
Design and Build new sports hall
Caister High School
Project involved designing and building a new sports hall linked to the existing school structure.
To enable the works to proceed and enable adequate space for deliveries the special needs classrooms were relocated.
As shown in the photos below the bases for the steel work were excavated within part of the existing playground, to enable the steel structure and large roof sections to be erected.
Due to design and length of the roof sections a Police escort was required to deliver safely to the site.
Once erected / constructed the sports hall had to be fitted out in accordance with Sports UK directive and to meet the requirements of the school regarding facilities for the pupils.
The whole area was landscaped to include additional parking for not only the school but for external use by the local community.
